OUR STORY
Back in 2006, before social media platforms were a thing, Janice Jokkel, Founder and CEO of The Biz Hive launched both The Kids Directory and Romp n Stomp simultaneously. The purpose of "The Kids Directory" publication was to promote kid-related businesses in the community and own the advertising vehicle to launch Romp n Stomp Inflatable Rentals off the ground.
Fast forward to today. Social Media is saturated, swipes happen at warp speed, and advertising analytics are not capturing true data due to changes in the industry. As The Biz Hive searched for marketing mediums that would reach our prospective clients, busy business owners, and high-performing professionals, we turned to Medina Weekly. What we found was that PRINT IS NOT DEAD!! We are the only business-to-business company in their newspaper and 90% of our clients in 2022 were secured from our consistent weekly ad!
This sparked an idea!
In partnership with the Medina Career Center / Business and Marketing Class - we have created a platform for intern marketing students to learn about "real" businesses in our communities. They will gain experience by having conversations with business owners and using their skills to build brand awareness for local businesses in our community by creating ads that will bring our advertisers to life and earn hours for their senior program. For every paid advertisement, we will donate 1% back to their class to pay for field trips throughout the year.
Our monthly print and digital publication blended with our "Be Informed" weekly newsletter will provide affordable advertising that builds business branding, creating consistency that will drive decision-makers to the doorsteps of the small businesses in our Medina County community.
